Selection Tips

Select floor first, before choosing furnishings and wall décor, not the other way round!

Consider how you use your room before you select your floor. If it is the busiest room, a darker more textured floor will be more practical, by hiding scuffs or minor scratches.

Make smaller rooms appear more spacious by using light colours to create an illusion of space. Keep things simple - fussy patterns will make small rooms feel cramped.

Use accessories to add detail. De-clutter & keep things in proportion. For example - use small tile sizes in smaller rooms to make them appear more spacious.

Tiles can be laid diagonally to create the feeling of more space in narrow areas such as hallways.

Add feature stripping between tiles to create a unique floor design that coordinates with your decor.

To get the ‘interior designer’ look, it’s the Finishing Touches that are most important. Use stripping or borders to make a real impact, and choose accessories in the same accent colours to co-ordinate your overall interior scheme look.

For a feeling of warmth, use rich earthy colours. Choose chocolate or coffee shades for a modern contemporary feel, neutral shades for an elegant look.
